OPEN POSITION
Vice President, Technology
The Vice President will oversee all day-to-day technology development, support and growth of the Company which includes but is not limited to its sites, ecommerce engine, mobile applications, embeddable distribution and emerging platform operations.

The finalist candidate will be responsible for the management of all technology concerns which directly relate to user and retail partner engagement. Working with the technical vendor, s/he will provide strategic and tactical vision to ensure that TempleHome is achieving its tech targets in line with the Companyfs mission and objectives.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

  • Develop and implement a technology development strategy with regard to users, retail, affiliate and ecommerce partners to maximize the revenues, profit, and ultimate value of the Company.
  • Work closely with senior management to ensure that the vision for the Company and technical processes, especially and including CRM are aligned with traffic and financial expectations. Create and/or manage technology transparency, e.g., a real-time dashboard, to report on usage, sales and all relevant analytics.
  • Develop and execute both the short-term and long-term tech, SLA and data center strategies for the Company while anticipating, identifying and forming solutions to challenges which may arise
  • Maintain appropriate tech awareness; supervise all technology activities to ensure maximum success in the marketplace; create and deepen relationships with the Company's technology partners, be responsive to retailer/consumer partnerships and expand relationships to new partners.
  • Ensure technology, vendor and SLA engagements are market-leading while being delivered on time and on budget.
  • Supervise all tech activities on a global basis to increase the Company's reach and revenue; deepen relationships with the Company's tech base and expand relationships to additional tech retailers. Communicate tech strategy and operations to all prospective partners.
  • Supervise all analytics, SEO administration and relevant viral/social marketing technical integrations; establish and monitor technical policies and procedures with ad and affiliate networks, internal teams and vendors.
  • Lead and conduct tech and ecommerce analyses, especially related to data and bandwidth centers, including competitive analysis and scalability.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
The finalist candidate will be a seasoned operational technology and CRM executive, who can add value in a fast-paced, ecommerce environment. S/he will have contributed to increased technical scalability of products or services through unique technology efforts and will have distinguished his/her Company through exceptional and innovative technical development. Candidate will be very developer friendly, and work well with outsourcing parties. This executive must be an excellent manager and technology development professional. Strong ecommerce acumen is key. The finalist will have a track record of initiating strategies and seeing their implementation through to completion.

A deep background in ecommerce and comparative shopping engines in the retail online industry is a must. Strong XML experience as well as iPhone App and other mobile expertise is required. Prior experience in the retail trade with ecommerce is preferred. Strong background in ecommerce, affiliate, retail lead generation, premium subscription and ad integration is ideal. Experience in an entrepreneurial environment would be preferred.

This executive must be a strategic technologist, equal parts information architect and technology management, and well rounded business executive who can accomplish goals in a timely, productive and fiscally responsible manner. S/he will have strong tech management skills as well as prior P&L experience. Experience working with a consumer and retailer-facing website (B2B2C) is preferred.

The prospective candidates will have managerial experience and will be exceptional at developing, managing and leading the full complement of technology responsibilities to support sales and marketing of the organization. The finalist candidate will have fluency with most ecommerce technology programs, support and integration. Ideal candidate attributes include:

Editor, Web Content
TempleHome is looking for a highly experienced media professional to develop and execute its editorial vision and manage site content/inventory in the home/self improvement space. Role will be equal parts content producer in terms of programming content on the site's home page, run of site and into communications to social media and email newsletters — and — web content editor, finding best content, products to drive attention and engagement to the site.

This editor will also work with the adjacent business: SoulSpace. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. CONTENT ANALYSIS
    Understand TempleHome's existing and incoming retail partners content, promotions, specials and related SoulSpace programming in the underserved junction between Home and Self Improvement.
    • Breadth and Depth: Where are content gaps and areas for expansion?
    • Performance: Which posts - aggregated or original - are working?
    • Forecasting: Where do our contributors/bloggers need to go today, tomorrow and over time?
    • Follow, understand and communicate trends in online programming at TempleHome and web-wide
    • Improve the quality of the content library everyday

  2. CONTENT AND CONTRIBUTOR ACQUISITION
    Influence TempleHome's future programming decision-making
    • Work alongside the Community Team as they recruit, retain and activate contributors
    • Convert insights into new ideas and match ideas against existing programming
    • Inform the valuation process of new and existing content
    • Understand social media and how social nets and real-time tweets affect growth

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the site's design partner and guide. You will achieve this by becoming knowledgeable and passionate about your site's goals and business. You will inspire your team with superior design by collaborating with teams both internal and external, attending regularly scheduled meetings, creative ideation sessions and presentations.
  • Lead and develop design projects from initiation to completion. This includes projects for interactive, brand, product and user experience (print a plus).
  • Specific activities include understanding and leveraging strategic and creative briefs, developing brand, experience and design concepts, sketching early concepts and experience architecture, designing and refining concepts, producing final press- or web-ready artwork.
